Editor's Choice - Pinball League - Dr. Pickaxe is rocking our world on Windows Phone

Pinball: Just ane fix...

Although we're all the same waiting on that pesky Xbox Alive game to get…well live, we accept something else to keep you gamers happy: Pinball League's Dr. Pickaxe. If that name sounds familiar it'south because there's a previous pinball game by the same company, Tainicom, called Pinball League - The Juggler. This game just striking the Windows Phone Store and nosotros're in love.

First off, we should note that we're huge pinball fans. Pinball FX2 on Xbox 360 is our illicit drug of pick and we're dying to become information technology on Windows Phone (see our interview with the programmer for news on that front). In the meantime, Dr. Pickaxe is fullfilling our deepest sorcerer desires past offering a solid sequel to their previous attempt.

The game is really much better than the Juggler because it has "more than stuff" to do in it. Past that nosotros mean the lath is more complicated with more ramps, bumpers and even a mini-game within the game ala FX2. Although the main board is the same, there are multiple mini-boards within in that y'all can unlock as you progress forth. Anyone who'southward played Pinball FX2 knows how addictive those can be and they really keep usa challenged.

The game features an all new physics lath, solid music, global leaderboards and "stackable bonuses". Oh and did nosotros mention the fantastic graphics? Information technology handled well on our 1.5GHz CPU in our Titan Ii but nosotros can't vouch for anest gen devices with lower specs—in that case, try the trial start. (Tip : For the Titan II, nosotros institute it stuttered with the 'HTC enhanced sound' turned off in Organisation Settings—which was odd. Turning information technology on actually made the gameplay smoother).
